The campus is located on the Chemelot site next to the industrial park in the South of The Netherlands, in Sittard-Geleen, where internationally renowned parties produce on a large scale. The close interconnection between Brightlands Chemelot Campus and Chemelot Industrial Park is crucial for the sustainability transition and contributes substantially to accelerating the joint goal of realising green chemistry. This cooperation is unique in Europe because of the combination of specialised research facilities and knowledge institutions on campus, the integration of disruptive technologies and the scale-up opportunities on the adjacent industrial park.
