A sequence-controlled ultrafiltration (UF) pilot unit designed for lignin-containing products. The system operates at up to 16 bar and handles feed flows of approximately 300 – 20,000 l/h. It consists of two independently operated membrane loops with diafiltration capability (diawater pump able to deliver up to 16 bars at 5 m3/h), allowing operation in serial or parallel modes and adjustable concentration levels. The unit supports fed-batch and continuous processing.

Both of the loops are equipped with 3 x 8040 membrane housings (flexible membrane area adjustment), mass flow meters, temperature and pressure instrumentation, and variable-speed pumps optimized for high-viscosity fluids (up to ~100 cP). Integrated automation includes PLC/HMI control and advanced monitoring via GEA SmartFiltration. The unit operates in a temperature range of 25–80°C and includes adjustable cleaning (CIP) programs.
