We offer support in development of textile fibers from a broad spectrum of bio-based raw materials, including residual streams from forestry, agriculture and marine environments, for use in apparel, technical textiles or composite materials.
Our services include:
- Melt spinning with up to four different polymers in one filament (0.1-7 kg/h, speeds up to 6000 m/min), a wide selection of fiber geometries and cross-sections (side-by-side, trilobal, hollow, islands-in-the-sea, pie wedge), multifilament spinning with 12–72 filaments
- Wet spinning from bench-scale to pilot scale (50 kg fibers/day), including polymer dissolution, deaeration, filtration, extrusion, coagulation, drawing (stretching), washing, spin finish application and drying
- Post processing of spun fibers, i.e. rewinding, texturing, cutting, and further development of prototypes and demonstrators by yarn spinning, knitting and nonwoven production
