The central role of Pilots4U – setting up a network of open-access pilot and demonstration infrastructure for the European bioeconomy – clearly indicates that the project success greatly depends on our ability to effectively communicate with a variety of stakeholders. As the Pilots4U team knows that an image is worth a thousand words, we decided to publish the project results through a series of infographics that allow the public to get a quick and clear understanding of our work. The infographics – A6 size, double-sided postcards – are handed out by the Pilots4U team at conferences, workshops and other events. Remember to look for the blue caps to find the Pilots4U team at the next event you attend!
So far, we have released two batches of infographics. The first set provides general information about the project, such as:
- The project timeline infographic, highlighting the different opportunities for interaction throughout the project.
- The database infographic, providing an overview of the Pilots4U database and include an interactive QR scan code that allows the public and stakeholders to quickly access our website and the database tool.
- The open access infographic, as ‘open access’ is a key term for the project and database, we developed an infographic explaining its meaning and implications to avoid misconceptions.
The second batch of infographics displays the main results from our survey of industry stakeholders regarding their needs for large-scale equipment and associated expertise. These infographics show in brief the profile of survey respondents, their motivation to work with open access facilities, and which large-scale equipment assets and expertise they considered most necessary.
