A4F's Experimental Unit in Lisbon (UEL) offers state-of-the-art and diversified types of systems for the growth and processing of microalgae biomass.
This GMO compliant Experimental Unit has currently 10 m³ of capacity, and is currently in the process of scaled-up to 20 m³.
In UEL it's possible to test and optimize biological and engineering solutions for the production of new strains and products, to carry out microalgae production trials (including GMOs) in a variety of production systems and designs - flat-panel, tubular photobioreactor, raceway and cascade raceway.
This facility is located in Lisbon, in a Science and Technology Campus, in a perfect environment for Clients and for collaborations with Universities and Partners from different locations around the World.
